Rodney Shumpert is President and CEO of Shumpert Productions, which began in Nettleton, Mississippi in the year 2000, throwing parties and events where he attended high school and played football. Shumpert then majored in in business & marketing at Itawamba Community College where he also played football and led the Indians to the North State Junior College playoffs. Shumpert Productions produced some of the biggest college parties in the state of Mississippi. Shumpert then later attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi where he continued his college football career at “Ole Miss” but had to give it up after suffering a major shoulder injury. By the time Shumpert finished Up at Ole Miss in 2004, he had put on major arena concerts, handling the booking of entertainment, stage productions, marketing, advertising and promotions. Shumpert has also owned & operated several successful night clubs and has produced over 200 major events and concerts. He has worked with several artists and celebrities, such as P Diddy, Iman Shumpert, Rae Sremmurd, Drake, Rickey Smiley, Nelly, Katt Williams, Soulja Boy, Tank, Ying Yang Twins, Ludicris, Mike Epps, Dez Bryant, Yo Gotti, Kevin Hart, Eric Church, Shaquille O’Neal, and many more.
Richard Flood is Chief Marketing Officer for Shumpert Productions. Flood has over 24 years of experience in event marketing and productions as well as proposal writing and sponsorship acquisition. He was Coordinator and Marketing Director for the Ujima organization which produced Juneteenth Festival in Tupelo, MS. Flood also worked with Clear Channel events including Country Fest and Working Women’s Expo in Oklahoma City. He also produced Models and Bottles Chicago, Houston and Atlanta. He obtained sponsorship for the Battle of the Bands tour. As CEO of MissHaps, LLC an entertainment marketing and promotions company which showcased and promoted entertainment across the state of Mississippi, Mr. Flood established an extensive online presence with the website and social media, published MissHaps magazine, produced a mixtape series featuring national and local artists and a television show with a focus on entertainment across Mississippi. Flood also made an impact with Time Out Tallahassee, with a focus on the college entertainment experience on the campuses of Florida A&M University, Florida State University and Tallahassee Community College, plus some of the hottest nightclubs, concerts, pool parties and special events in Tallahassee. Mr. Flood has traveled the US working with major national events such as Super Bowl, NBA All Star Weekend, MAGIC Show in Las Vegas, Detroit’s International Auto Show, The Stellar Awards in Houston Texas, BET’s Rip The Runway in Harlem, New York, Essence Fest in New Orleans and more as Owners Illustrated Magazine’s Houston, Texas-based office. Mr. Flood was working side-by-side with artists such as Slim Thug, Lil Wayne, T.I., 50-Cent, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, David Banner, Snoop Dogg, Akon, Mike Jones, Scarface, UGK, and many others. His experience coordinating sponsored events by Rolls Royce, Budweiser, Miller Lite, Universal Music Group, Bacardi, Martell, Procter & Gamble and numerous others in major markets all over the United States and the Caribbean makes him a valuable addition to the Shumpert Productions team.
